The question of doing the right thing is a loaded proposition. Is doing the right thing protecting your business or employees?

Does it need to be a choice? No.

Protecting your employees and protecting your business are one and the same thing. Like most things, the details are were this can practically take root, or can fall apart for most employers.

Ensuring that you set your employees up for success when you hire them is imperative. This includes taking the time to have them review the policies that you use to shape and inform your work culture. Letting employees know what you expect from them in a clear and deliberate fashion will only make your business stronger and will protect it into the future.
